Your First Visit
Your visit begins with a warm welcome from our front-of-house team, who will check you in and help you feel at ease. If it’s your first appointment, we’ll ask you to complete a brief medical and dental history form so we can understand your needs.
You’ll then have a moment to relax in our reception area before your clinician comes to meet you and guide you to the treatment room. This is your chance to share any concerns or goals, ensuring we tailor the appointment to you.
Your clinician will carry out a thorough dental assessment, which may include X-rays or scans if needed. We explain everything clearly as we go, so you always feel informed and comfortable.
Once the examination is complete, we’ll talk you through the findings and create a personalised treatment plan that suits your needs and long-term oral health goals.
Before you leave, our reception team will help you book any follow-up appointments and answer any questions about your treatment or next steps. You’ll head out feeling confident, informed, and supported from start to finish.

Private Patients
At Imperial Dental Care, your private new patient appointment is designed to provide a comprehensive, personalised experience focused on your comfort, confidence, and long-term oral health.
Your visit begins with an in-depth examination of your teeth, gums, and surrounding tissues, including a thorough oral cancer screening as part of our commitment to preventative care. Where clinically necessary, digital X-rays — such as bitewing X-rays to identify hidden concerns like decay between teeth — will be taken and are included within your examination fee. As part of your appointment, you will also benefit from a professional scale and polish to gently remove plaque and tartar, leaving your smile feeling refreshed, clean, and healthy.
We understand that every patient is different, which is why we take the time to truly listen.
During your consultation, you will have the opportunity to discuss any concerns, goals, or questions about your dental health in a relaxed, no-pressure environment. Following your assessment, we will create a fully personalised treatment plan tailored to your individual needs, lifestyle, and smile aspirations, with clear explanations of all available options.
To ensure your experience is as seamless and stress-free as possible, you will also be introduced to your dedicated Treatment Coordinator, who will support you throughout your journey. From helping everything run smoothly behind the scenes to answering questions, coordinating appointments, and discussing finance options, they will be there to take away any worries around treatment costs and ensure your needs are met every step of the way.
NHS Patients
Your first appointment as an NHS patient includes a comprehensive dental examination to assess the health of your teeth, gums, and surrounding oral tissues. As part of your examination, your dentist will also carry out an oral cancer screening.
Before your appointment, you will be asked to complete a Medical History Form to help us provide safe and appropriate care tailored to your individual needs.
If clinically necessary, X-rays may be taken to identify issues that are not visible during a routine examination, such as decay between teeth or problems below the gum line.
Any diagnostic X-rays required as part of your examination are included in the NHS examination fee.
During your appointment, we take the time to get to know you, discuss any concerns you may have about your oral health or smile, and answer any questions. Following your examination, your dentist will provide a personalised treatment plan outlining any recommended treatment options and associated NHS or private costs where applicable.
Whether you require routine maintenance, preventative care, or more extensive treatment, our friendly team is committed to ensuring your experience is comfortable, relaxed, and stress-free.

Family Appointments
To make visits more convenient, we offer consecutive appointments for family members wherever possible. If you would like to arrange family appointments, please speak with our reception team when booking.
Appointment Availability
Appointments are offered on a first-come, first-served basis. While we will always do our best to accommodate your preferred date and time, availability may vary.
Maintaining Your NHS Registration
To remain an active NHS patient at our practice, it is important to attend regular dental examinations. Patients who have not attended an appointment with one of our dentists for 24 months or longer may lose their NHS registration and will need to book their next appointment on a private basis.
